I’m wondering if I can use Pismo File Mount to simulate disk drive errors when testing software that tries to read/write to files on the virtual disk?

For example, a hard disk in production has bad sectors and the application under test crashes when writing to the disk.

I’d like to be able to consistently reproduce such issues in order to verify newer versions of the application don’t crash.

In production, messages similar to the following are logged in the Windows event log:
    Log Name: System
    Source: disk
    Event ID: 153
    Level: Warning
The IO operation at logical block address 0xfe476f for Disk 2 (PDO name: \Device\00000048) was retried.

    Thank you!
